Usability testing
“…demonstrating your users’ experience of systems”
What usability testing can offer you
Usability testing can help you ensure your systems are easy to use and fully support the needs of your staff.
A usability test can:
- Show how easy or difficult users find applications
- Show how your staff actually interact with your systems
- Help you plan future development work
- Illustrate the different experiences of novice and expert users
What we do
We employ a variety of techniques to conduct usability testing work. One of the more common methods we use is to
sit alongside users as they work through a scenario that is relevant to their system usage.
We work with application developers to independently assess products and with organisations to ensure products are suitable for their users. We also conduct testing to ensure that software is complying with usability and accessibility guidelines.
Some of the Usability & Accessibility testing we’ve done
Corelogic – user testing of a social care software application in work settings with individuals and groups of end users. Expert evaluations and accessibility testing of various new product components.
Kent Police – usability and accessibility testing of an on-line crime reporting website with a representative cross section of Kent residents. Read more
Amplicon – expert review of Amplicon’s new website and customer visits to test the website in a live environment and get client feedback.
